Furthur (Live)

from World Awake by Diane Patterson

/

about

I wrote these words to match the mighty, swirly, revolutionary energy of Django Reinhardt's fantastic instrumental, Minor's Swing.
I spell it 'Furthur' for the Merry Pranksters' school bus by the same name.

lyrics

In these times, shadows falling around my head
Taking nothing for granted now,
looking furthur instead
Letting go is the magical secret of
Catching dreams that you need to live,
Truly live in your skin
One by one they fall,
Lessons of the old world gone!
Taking flight, astral travel to distant lands
Inspiration to seek the love, only love in this life
Spiral dance is the answer and
Sacred plants invoke the dancers who
Play the song brought for liberation
Winding labyrinth, quest for freedom
Sacred chant!
