High Sierra Morning

from World Awake by Diane Patterson

/

about

For indigenous wisdom, and hope.
The Hopi man said, "This could be a good time."

lyrics

High Sierra morning and all we ever hoped for is the dawn
We have to keep on
One foot before the other, place it in the hands of the mother, Earth
Oh, precious worth
So we let go of the shore and let our fears recede into the night
It's gonna be alright

We are our own leaders now and
No one else can tell us how to live, or what we can't give
We are honoring the First Nations and
Learning from the ancient ones of life
Oh, precious life
We are standing with the living trees, for salmon runs and healthy seas
and peace, Oh, speaking peace

Evolutionary breezes, scooping up the prayers we make
Doorways open to other ways, and dragonfly say
This could be a good time.

All the men are pitching in, to raise the divine feminine in all
We can't afford to stall
All the village, teach the youth, to see the sacred and truth, and share
All we need is here
We release our praise and grief, and see the ancient world becoming new, it's all inside of you.
